Let me introduce myself, my name is Andy Cannon, and I am an SAP Business ByDesign product expert, and part of our SAP Partner Solution Centre here in North America. I have 15 years’ experience with the SAP Business ByDesign solution, having both implemented the solution as well as supporting our partners with their implementations.

In December, we hosted a series of Go-Live Experience (GLX) virtual webinars for NA SAP Business ByDesign partners and SAP Business ByDesign partners from around the globe.
David Leon (15 years of ECC and SAP Business ByDesign implementation experience with a multi-national SAP partner) and Jeff Lischka (15 years of SAP Business ByDesign implementation experience with both SAP and a large NA SAP Business ByDesign partner) were able to share this extensive ‘hands-on’ implementation experience. We were also ably supported by Dan Youngers, who has over 20 years of SME solution experience.
These webinars take our newer partners through the steps involved in the best practices for implementing SAP Business ByDesign, using our successful implementation methodology.

The webinars are based on simulating a fictional SAP Business ByDesign customer implementation. This customer, Akron, manufactures and provides customer service for commercial and residential heating equipment. They have just signed a contract for SAP Business ByDesign, and participants are assigned as an implementation project team member. They get their hands on their own system, practicing configuration and data migration, and eventually processing transactions.

Held over five ‘virtual’ sessions, the participants are led through each stage of the implementation methodology before practicing what they have learned on the customer’s solution. Each day follows this same format, from scoping, through configuration to fine-tuning and data migration. If time allows, business transactions can be completed within this customer system.

17 participants across 5 days, and from 14 different partners in 8 different countries. Mainly US, plus Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, India, Ireland, Philippines, and Poland.
