we have a raw material that is procured from vendor using Kanban. Now Vendor is asking us to give an idea (forecast) of what we will be requesting so he can make his arrangements.

how can I give/generate him our requirements? at this point of time this material has mrp type ND in the material master. so when i run MRP for the finsihed product, this raw material is not even planned. so how can i generate some requirements for my vendor?

one of my colleague said, as this material is only stored in one sloc, why not exclude the sloc/material from MRP run, but still keep mrp type as PD. will this help my situation. I am confused and i still think what he said is incorrect. I think by excluding material/sloc from mrp will not consider the stock in the sloc and system will create requirements for the material as it is having mrp type PD, which will not help us.

any ideas how to generate some requirements for our vendor? thx
