The fine-tuning activity Check withholding tax rates schedules is available in Business Configuration in SAP Business ByDesign for SAP delivered local versions only.

This article describes how to use the SAP Cloud Applications Studio to make the Withholding Tax for Countries/Regions Using Customer-Specific Localization fine-tuning activity accessible for an installation in a country/region that does not have an SAP local version.

Steps to Enable Withholding Tax Rates for Non-Localized Countries/Regions

Create the BAC element in the SAP Cloud Applications Studio

  1. Create a new BAC element in the SAP Cloud Applications Studio and assign it to the anchor Withholding Tax for Countries/Regions Using Customer-Specific Localization as follows:
  2. Assign the BC sets created for withholding tax rate schedule to your newly created BAC element.
  3. Deploy the content.

 Fine-Tuning in the SAP Business ByDesign Solution

  1. In your SAP Business ByDesign solution, navigate to the Business Configuration work center and select your implementation project.
  2. Edit the scope of the project and navigate to Questions.
  3. Navigate to the Withholding Tax for Countries/Regions Using Customer-Specific Localization business option present in the path Built-in Services and Support -> Business Environment -> Tax Calculation and select the In Scope checkbox for both options.
  4. The Withholding Tax for Countries/Regions using Customer-Specific Localization activity is now in scope and appears in the fine-tuning activity list as highlighted below:
  5. Click on the activity highlighted in the previous step. To view the withholding tax rates created in the SAP Cloud Applications Studio, select the highlighted activity below.

Summary

When you deploy this solution, the Withholding Tax for Countries/Regions using Customer-Specific Localization activity appears in the fine-tuning activity list in Business Configuration. Select this activity to view the withholding tax rates created in the SAP Cloud Applications Studio.
