There are some business requirements, which fit in following criteria
- Can be satisfied with simple mathematical formulas.
- Do not need to be stored in the SAP IBP System and are used by planners to verify some facts locally in the Excel along with other planning relevant data
These can be achieved using local Key figures in SAP IBP.
Many times, SAP IBP Functional consultants, tend to use SAP IBP Key figures and increase the processing load on the SAP IBP Sever.
This blog will discuss, How to create local key figures in SAP Integrated Business Planner (SAP IBP).
Target Audience
The primary target audience of this blog are SAP IBP Technical and Functional consultants
The steps to create local key figure are as follows
Log on to SAP IBP server in the SAP IBP Excel addin
Select the planning area in which you need to add the local key figure
Assumption The template is already existing. Select the template and load the Input Key Figure data.
We will take simple example, the input Key Figure is Demand Entered. The input values of this KF start from cell D2 in the selected template.
We will create new local Key Figure Demand10Percent will add 10 Percent to the value of Demand Entered Keyfigure and display in the row E.
Follow the following steps
Now select the Template Admin -> Advanced-> Report Editor
Now in the new screen,Enter the following values highlighted with green box.
Name of the Key Figure
Description of the Key Figure
Formula = D2 * 1.1
In this case the input key figure starts from cell D2.
You need to select the Key figure which will be considered as input.
Select the KeyFigures
Select the relevant key figure (which is on the excel template) from the list and click on OK
The selected keyfigure in the attached to list and then click on Add button
New local member will be added in the left hand side
New local key figure will be added on the excel sheet
