This blog post is the third part on how to integrate SAP Cloud for Customer with your Central Analytics solution and focuses on Monitoring the data replication.

The complete blog consists of the following parts:

    • Monitoring (this blog)

Monitoring

Monitoring can be done on both sides, in SAP Cloud for Customer and in BW.

Monitoring in SAP Cloud for Customer

In C4C you can find the Monitoring functionality in the Business Analytics workcenter in the Common Task tab:

From there you can identify which Data Sources have been replicated to BW, if the replication was successful or not, how many entries were transferred and how long the extraction was running in C4C.

If errors occur during the data transfer you will be able extract the error messages from the log Details.

Monitoring in SAP BW / BI

On the other hand BW provides you certain monitoring capabilities as well. For example when you are in an  InfoPackage you can select the Monitor for BW Object from the tool bar.

This will bring you to the object monitor and will provide you details about the last extractions together with success or error messages. From the Details block you can even get the information in which step errors occurred:

The Monitoring part concludes my blog about the basics on integrating SAP Cloud for Customer with SAP BW / BI. I hope you liked it and stay tuned for upcoming post about:

    • Reducing the size of Data Sources / Splitting Data Sources in BW

    • Implementing a Pseudo-Delta mechanism to lower the runtime of your data extraction runs

  • Activate pagination during data extraction to avoid memory issues or timeouts
